Dongting Mountain Biluochun:
Dongting Mountain Biluochun is characterized by its unique appearance and exceptional quality:

  • Appearance: Tightly rolled, slender strips resembling spirals; "bee leg" features with dense white hairs; a silvery-green hue with emerald undertones, clean and uniform.
  • Brewed Tea: Light yellow-green and bright liquor.
  • Aroma: Fresh, with a distinct floral and fruity fragrance.
  • Taste: Refreshing and richly flavored, with a prominent floral and fruity note.
  • Leaf Base: Tender, uniform, vibrant, with a bright yellow-green appearance.

Tea leaves harvested between April 5 and April 20, crafted from tender buds, are called Pre-Rain Tea. Although it is not as delicate as Mingqian Tea (tea picked before Qingming), the higher temperatures during this period promote faster bud growth and richer accumulation of nutrients. As a result, Pre-Rain Tea often has a more intense flavor and is highly brew-resistant.
